SBA Loans Plummet
During the first quarter of its 2009 fiscal year (which is the last three months of 2008), the Small Business Administration dropped the total number of loans it backed by 57 percent from 2008 and 62 percent from 2007. The actual loan values also dropped by 40 percent from 2008.
