Tailor Refunds Money if You Don’t Land Job
Posted by Megan Dorn under Random thoughts, Small Business
Quirky promotions can be found in all kinds of businesses in every kind of industry. Yesterday I stumbled across one I found particularly interesting.
A London-based tailor feels so confident about its shirts that it’s giving job seekers half of their money back if they fail to get the job after wearing the shirt to an interview. The shirt maker had recently seen an increase in the number of clients buying shirts for job interviews and believes that appearances make all the difference and the shirts have the ability to impress any interviewer.
The promotion doesn’t come without stipulations of course. If you didn’t land the job and want your 50 percent refund, you’re going to have to show the tailor a picture of you wearing the shirt for the interview and written proof of job rejection.
It’s certainly an interesting way to reach the growing number of unemployed job seekers, but who would want to request proof of rejection from the company that turned them down just to get a few bucks back? I’d really have to swallow my pride for that one.
Have a great weekend!
